Title: SIROWA SACCO Visits St Anne's Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) and Empowers Mothers Union Members with Financial Literacy

On March 19th, 2023, SIROWA SACCO had the pleasure of visiting St Anne's Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) in a meeting hosted by 5,000 members of the Mothers Union from Renja Church, St Monica Church, Rae Church, and St Steven's Cathedral. During this visit, SIROWA SACCO informed the church members and Mothers Union about the benefits of becoming members of the SACCO, which can greatly improve their financial well-being.

The presentation given by SIROWA SACCO highlighted the various benefits that members of the SACCO can enjoy in a period of 12 months. SIROWA SACCO understands that financial security is a key component of a person's overall well-being, and they have taken great steps to ensure that their members have access to the best financial services and products in the market.

One of the key benefits that members of SIROWA SACCO enjoy is welfare services. Members have access to National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) coverage for the entire year, ensuring that they are covered in case of any medical emergencies. Additionally, members are entitled to last expense cover/benevolent fund, where they can benefit up to KES 250,000 for five family members. This is particularly useful in times of unexpected deaths, where families may struggle to meet the financial obligations associated with funerals.

Another benefit that SIROWA SACCO members enjoy is school fees cover. Members can receive coverage ranging from KES 55,000 to KES 110,000 per year, depending on their needs. This is especially helpful for families who struggle to meet the high costs of education in Kenya.

SIROWA SACCO also provides its members with opportunities to save and earn dividends. Members who save with the SACCO can have the chance to own a petrol station on 25 decimals of land. Additionally, they can benefit from owning one acre of mixed farming, which includes dairy goats, indigenous vegetable farming, and Kienyeji chicken. This is a great opportunity for members to diversify their income streams and improve their financial security.

During the visit, SIROWA SACCO emphasized the importance of financial literacy and encouraged the church members and Mothers Union to adopt a sound saving culture. We explained the various financial services and products available to them and urged them to take advantage of these opportunities to improve their financial well-being. SIROWA SACCO understands that financial literacy is key to improving the financial well-being of individuals and communities, and they are committed to promoting financial literacy among their members.

Moreover, SIROWA SACCO's visit to St Anne's Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) was a great success. The presentation given by SIROWA SACCO was comprehensive and professional, and it provided the church members and Mothers Union with valuable information about the benefits of becoming members of the SACCO. SIROWA SACCO's commitment to financial empowerment is commendable, and we hope that more people will take advantage of the benefits offered by the SACCO to improve their financial well-being.

In addition to the comprehensive presentation on financial empowerment, SIROWA SACCO also made a generous donation to the Mothers Union during their visit to St Anne's Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK). The SACCO donated two boxes of mineral water, a sack of fine maize flour, and a sack of maize to the Mothers Union.

This donation not only demonstrates the generosity of SIROWA SACCO but also highlights the importance of corporate social responsibility. SIROWA SACCO recognizes that our success is directly linked to the well-being of the communities in which they operate. As a result, we have made it a priority to give back to the communities we serve through various initiatives and donations.

The donation of food and water to the Mothers Union is particularly significant in light of the current economic challenges facing many Kenyan families. The ongoing pandemic has had a significant impact on the livelihoods of many families, and access to basic necessities such as food and water has become increasingly difficult. SIROWA SACCO's donation is a practical demonstration of their commitment to supporting the communities they serve, especially during these challenging times.

SIROWA SACCO's donation also serves as a reminder of the importance of corporate social responsibility. As more and more companies recognize the importance of giving back to the communities they serve, it is essential for businesses to prioritize the well-being of their communities. Corporate social responsibility not only benefits the communities in which businesses operate but also helps to build trust and loyalty among customers and stakeholders.
